Seed Needs: A Brand on a Mission for Change
Founded when I was just 15 years old, Seed Needs has been providing gardeners with quality seed products since 2010. In the past decade, we have shipped millions of seed packets to happy customers across the United States. Our offerings include flowers, herbs, vegetables, vines, wildflower blends, and seed packet collections and favors.
With the success of our brand, we have kept our promise to continually donate to various organizations and personally sponsor over 100 children worldwide each month. This is a far cry from our humble beginnings of sponsoring just one child back in 2010. We are grateful to all our supporters, without whom this would not have been possible.
Our beautifully illustrated seed packets provide a colorful depiction of the variety inside, including the common and scientific names, seed quantity, and growing specifications. On the reverse side, you'll find full growing instructions, such as sowing details, sunlight and moisture preferences, and germination and growth information. We also include a QR code for easy reordering.
What makes our seeds unique? First and foremost, they are always non-GMO and untreated, stored in a temperature-controlled facility free of moisture. Each packet is packaged for the current and following growing seasons, ensuring freshness. You can count on 99% pure seed with no added fillers, true to the variety advertised.
One of our popular offerings is the Strawflower, grown from freshly harvested Helichrysum bracteatum flower seeds. These "daisy-like" blooms come in a beautiful blend of pink, yellow, white, and rose shades, with soft, yellow centers. Strawflowers range from 24 to 36 inches in height and are known to attract an array of beneficial insects, such as butterflies, bumblebees, hummingbirds, and ladybugs.
Strawflowers are considered tender perennials in warm climates and annuals in cooler regions. They grow quickly from seed, producing their gorgeous blooms throughout the summer, only to die back with the first frost. The seeds can self-sow for regrowth the following season, or you can collect them from the dried flower heads in the fall.
Strawflowers are versatile, thriving in full sun or partial shade, and not too particular about soil conditions, as long as it's fertile and well-draining. They typically germinate within 7-10 days and can be spaced about 8 inches apart, reaching their full height of 24-36 inches.
At Seed Needs, we take pride in the quality, quantity, and packaging of our products. Our tear-resistant, moisture-resistant packets ensure freshness, and the generous seed counts allow you to share with friends and family or save for the next season. With our beautiful illustrations and detailed growing instructions, your gardening experience is sure to be a success.
