Seed Needs: A Brand on a Mission for Change

Welcome to Seed Needs, a company that has been providing gardeners with quality seed products since 2010. Over the past decade, we have shipped millions of packets to happy customers all over the US. Our product offerings include flowers, herbs, vegetables, vines, wildflower blends, and seed packet collections and favors.

The success of our brand has allowed us to keep our promise of continually donating to different organizations and personally sponsoring children all over the globe each month. We started with just 1 child sponsored and have grown that to over 100 children worldwide in only a few years. We are truly humbled and grateful for the support of our customers, without whom this would not be possible.

Our Seed Packets Seed Needs packets are beautifully illustrated, providing a colorful depiction of the variety inside. We include the common name, scientific name, seed quantity, and details about the variety to be grown. On the reverse side, you'll find full growing instructions, including specifications on sowing, growing conditions, and germination and growth information. We also include a QR code for easy reordering.

Our Seed Promise All Seed Needs products are non-GMO and untreated. Our seeds are stored in a temperature-controlled facility free of moisture and are always packaged for the current and following growing seasons. You can count on our seeds to be true to the variety advertised, with 99% pure seed and no added fillers.

Heirloom Varieties Heirloom varieties are those that have been purposefully bred, selected, and passed down from generation to generation. These wholesome picks will breed true to the parent seed every time. Flowers from Seed Needs will attract all sorts of beneficial insects to your garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees, honeybees, and ladybugs.

New England Aster Grow the stunning New England Aster (Aster novae-angliae) from our fresh flower seeds. This perennial will produce masses of gorgeous pink-purple blooms atop stems that can reach 24 to 72 inches tall. Spreading up to 2 to 4 feet wide, the foliage is attractive, and the slender petals are accented with golden yellow centers.

New England Aster is a bit of a quick-growing plant and can take up a fair amount of space. It's best to sow this variety directly in the flower garden, either by itself or in the background of other low-growing flowers. These eye-catching blooms will grace your garden from late summer through the first frost.

Sowing and Growing For best results, sow New England Aster seeds directly outdoors when the weather is warm and all danger of frost has passed. Scatter the tiny seeds on the surface of well-drained soil and ensure they receive direct sunlight, which is crucial for successful germination.

New England Aster prefers an area of full sun to light shade, with temperatures around 70°F to 75°F. It enjoys a fairly rich, moist soil but is adaptable to most growing conditions. Be sure to space the plants 2 to 3 feet apart to allow for their mature size.

Your New England Aster seeds will germinate in 7 to 14 days, and the plants will reach a height of 24 to 72 inches and a width of up to 4 feet. These beautiful flowers will attract a variety of beneficial insects to your garden.
